Shipping updates + card misprints

Hi folks! Some updates and a mix of news for you all today.

North American books

They're nearly in Knoxville! Our partners at Studio 2 Publishing are prepped to receive the pallets today, and once they've landed we'll then get to work on picking & packing them for distribution from there.

Books everywhere else

Have been shipped! We've made sure to use tracked, courier services wherever we can to minimise customs issues, and everything was shipped out last week. We know some parcels have landed already, which is brilliant to see.

Card issues

The only bit of bad news is that it's emerged that a few of the covenant cards are misprinted. The errors are:  

• The Hermit Cards are labelled as The Magician on the art side 
• One copy each of The Gardener and the Auteur have their art sides swapped

We’re planning to rectify this situation by ordering reprints of the four incorrect cards and sending them out to those of you who purchased the covenant deck. We’ll make it happen as soon as we can (although it might be in the new year given the difficulties of securing print time with our manufacturers). We’ll be in touch with you before we send out the replacement cards to make sure your addresses on file are correct, so keep an eye out for that email.  

However, the rest of the deck is absolutely fine, so you’re good to go ahead and use it in your games - and hopefully the issues don't affect usability too badly for the first few games.

Addresses locked; shipping starting next week

Hi folks! Some excellent news: all our books and cards for the UK, EU and international shipping have arrived with our partners at Parcelhub, and we'll be shipping out those orders starting around the 17th of this month - Wednesday next week.

We've also had notification that the US and Canadian books have cleared customs, and are on their way from the port to our US partners at Studio 2 Publishing. Once we've confirmed they've arrived and they've been checked over, we'll then start on shipping US orders too - we'll update with dates for that as soon as we know them for sure.

Final stretch! Looking forward to you all receiving your books.

Delivery update & final call for address checks

Hi folks! Some excellent news: the US/Canada shipment of Voidheart is due to clear customs shortly, and the UK/EU one has already cleared and is on its way to our distribution partners. The Covenant cards are also due to arrive on Thursday next week, and we think we should be in a position to start picking and packing once they've been checked.

So with that in mind, please make sure your address is up to date in Backerkit. You can update it by logging in to the project Backerkit here - if you have any trouble drop us a line at [email protected] and we'll help sort it out. We're aiming to send final notices and lock down addresses at the end of next week - Friday November 12th.

Quick shipping update

Hi folks! Just a quick update on the shipping and fulfilment situation:

• The Covenant cards are being printed and we're expecting them to arrive with our UK warehouse in about 10 days time.
• The North American book shipment is, after several last-minute delays, set to set sail tomorrow; from there it'll be about a 4 week journey before they need to clear US customs.
• The UK, EU and ROW book shipment is scheduled to be picked up by our freight partners next weekend, and from there should take around 2 weeks to reach the UK - this is dependent on there being enough haulage in the right places, so is also subject to last-minute delays.

Will share more when we have more to share!

Hi folks! The advance copy of the Shadow Edition has landed, and it is extremely good and very beautiful:

Despite some real production challenges, the finished result is looking gorgeous, and we're excited to get these into your hands. We've approved the full print run.

Shipping

So the next thing that's going to happen to your books is that they'll be split into two batches, and sent by freight to our partners in the UK and the US. If you're following any other Kickstarter projects at the moment you'll likely be aware already of the challenging situation with international shipping; we're very much at the mercy of the supply chain, being a tiny provider, but we're hoping that by batching in this way we can keep things moving. In normal times we'd give you an estimate at this point that it would be about 4-6 weeks before we could start shipping from our partners direct to you. Right now, though, the delays in the system are both large and unpredictable. There are four major pinch points where things might be delayed: transit from the books' current location to the relevant port; availability of containers for shipping itself; getting through customs; and then local freight delivery within the UK and US. We know from discussions with our partners that there are risks in all four places at the moment, and we think the best thing to do will be to share with you updates on where things are, as we go.
